*Cough cough* uuummmm.... testing, testing. Hello is this thing on?
AHEM!
whoo! After Topcat finally survived that cave in and was trapped under tonnes of stone and rubble (much like a certain raider of tombs after her 4th venture) for what seemed an eternity he has been brought back up to speed by his good friend Timsta!
"What's that you say? Cabaret went off like a bunch of tigers on heat! Good show ey what! What's that again? So did the short animated film of yours entitled Armless Fun at the ultra cool SHORTFLICKS, smashing! What what what! How to Host a Murder coming together at the very last minute was amazingly gr8 with ppl finding enuf time to actually get costumes, by Jove and all his bastard cousins in law, well done!"
Enough sillyness, here are the facts. 4 those wondering where the Topcat has been for the last month or so well, he did write a blog, a real smasher, congratulating every1 involved in CABARET3PO for being so damn amazing and for hanging together, chipping in, taking over peoples roles, and most of all believing in something so crazy that has come out of my brain. It really was my baby of 4 years in creation and I am proud and honoured to have worked with every1 involved for their tireless effort and faith and enjoyment in the show. We really did rock the audience every single night, which amazed me b/c our runthrough was our opening night.... we really should have charged full price. Anyway, every night you guys made and expanded on my vision in the best possible ways. The adlibs that soon became regular lines, the sexy choreography of the VAMPIRATES, the lighting and sound (namely Han and James), and the whole feeling of comradeship that I got from the whole cast and crew. It really felt like we were making something special (and something very big). It really hit home when I got surprised and touched (not physically, more psycotelenicalily) by the chorus of people singing "I don't knows" from the back. This play shall be one I will never forget and I thank all involved for helping every1 see inside my crazy brain.

I wrote something to the effect of the above statement about a month ago... but my connection timed out and I didn't notice b4 I sent it, when I pressed the back button, tonnes of heartfelt thank yous went down the cyber drain and I haven't really had the strength mentaly or physically to write another one (until now of course).
What was more nerve wracking than cabaret (even though cabaret was a much grander production) was SHORTFLICKS! This was due to the fact that the only person involved with the film was me. I acted, directed, wrote, edited, animated, filmed, and voiceovered the entire 4 and a half minute half animated half live action film. The point is if it didn't go down well then I can't really blame it on anyone else can I? Thankfully people liked it, some loved it, some fell to their knees in tears saying "Oh my God, that's me!" (or was that just me LOL). Anyways the survey said YES and I was happy, especially for the clapping and the laughing happening in the right places. I even snuck in (for those who were in cabaret3po, shortflicks, and screaming) an original sketch of the stick twirling octopus, the song GUNTER GRASS during the credits, and a corner of the poster of Screaming. Something I didn't plan to have that people picked up on was the bag hanging on the doornob for La Trobe Uni. Oh, and if you want to know, yes, that actually is my room and bathroom at home.
If you missed it, it's happening again at 18th of October, 6pm, @ Rod Joyce Room (enter via the Eagle Bar) Union Building, La Trobe University Bundoora

Lastly I'd like to announce 3 things, two good, 1 bad.
FIRSTLY THE BAD to get it over with....
I lost one of my jobs, luckily I have another one, but still it is a blow. I helped kids out with maths and english, and even got told for the first time recently from a student, b4 getting fired, "thank you for teaching me that method". It's sad, when I know that I can teach and help kids out so much, that I get fired simply because I cost too much. That's life I guess, I'll miss the kids and staff their heaps.
SECONDLY HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY NEWS!
If you haven't heard allready, I'm with Elise from Cabaret who played the sexy Dominatrix and the caffieney and fun-loven Jitters. Much cuddles and much smoochies. I'm a happy guy, so yay for happyness. PS. that doesn't mean I'm not going to continue writing blogs (cheeky boy)
THIRDLY!
I will be trying to make another animated short for REELING next year so keep your eyes glued to this blog (not literally... ouch!)
oh yeah, and I got an XBOX
CYA!
Back in action, the Topcat

*HUGGLES*
Ha! I knew you'd ditch that filthy Playstation 2 sometime! Now it can be thrown into a deep dark cupboard, and only brought out to play Tekken, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil and of course BUST A MOVE.
Poker night is overdue.
heres some interesting information about my previous employer which would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. She called my mum this morning asking if a staff member was available (not me) 2day 2 work @ thier centre because (and get this) they desperately needed staff! She didn't even meantion me. Not that I could have worked 2day seeing as though "The Front Room Boys" has started (3PRO play that I'm in). If n e 1 is interested it's showing @ Menzies Theatre @ La Trobe Uni Bundoora this week till sat 8pm
Yay, Timmy rocked the casbah (and many other things) in "Front Room Boys"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. I shake my fist at your previous employer - they will get theirs eventually!
Good luck with the rest of the show!!
