Books I read this year

This year I read at least 8 books, not counting graphic novels. My New Years Resolution last year was for at least 5 books.

I read The Stand, Carrie, The Gunslinger, and Talisman by Stephen King

All brilliant, I could write a novel just analysing them.

I read Trigger Warning by Neil Gaiman (hit or miss short stories that's introduction is more interesting than the actual rest of the book unfortunately).

I read X-Files: Ground Zero by Kevin J Anderson (great Scully centric novel)

I read The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski (the first Witcher novel, brilliant collection of short stories that subvert and satirise fairy tales and folklore)

I read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (OMG read this brilliant thriller)

Currently reading about 3 or so other novels and trying to create a D&D setting of my own so yeah.

If I had to recommend one book it would be Gone Girl. If you've read that try The Last Wish, or The Stand if you have the time (it's a massive read).

What i couldn't say on the train because "cat calling" means too many things now

I want to say
"Are you okay?"
But saying so
Might cause dismay

And so instead
I'll turn my head
And pray you have
A better day.
